A detached house, exterior and interior renovation, locates in the east suburb of Beijing. Originally the house was designed by the other architects with "Spanish style". We took over the construction and renovated from the concrete frame, which has already built, to the modern house. In the range of unchanging the structure, we moved the placement of the window, cut the eaves, and changed the wall finishing from the paint to the block. Because the original structure includes the void in the east and south side, we connected them by laying out the same wooden floor to make the L-shape court yard. 2nd floor was originally divided to small bed rooms. We put a water closet in the center of the plan to create a long directed view toward outside. Furthermore, some of the partitions are replaced for the glass wall to bring the transparency of the space.
